Description:
Celery is an Apium gravelens herb plant which takes two years to fully mature and produce into small fruit are brown in colour. Wild Celery plant growing in salt marshes around the Mediterranean Sea. Essential oil is derived from celery seeds which are used for medicinal purpose, also for flavoring food. Celery has soothing and relaxing effect.
Extraction-
Celery oil is extracted by steam distillation from the whole or crushed seed of Apium gravelens plant. Fruits and seeds are dried or pressed into oil for use as medicine. Fruits are rich in many fatty acids.
Composition-
Celery oil consists of 26 compounds. Its main constituents are limonene, Carvone and 3n –Butylpthalamide. Beta –pthalamide components and beta – selinene are critical components used as herbal medicinal. Trace elements are used in fine perfumes for fragrance.
Blending-
Celery oil is nicely blends with black pepper, coriander, ginger, lavender, lovage, oak moss, opopanax, pine, tea tree.
Property-
Its aroma is sweet, warm and earthy spice. It is pale yellow and very fluid with a strong pungent flavor and smell.
